Stroud Township Sewer Authority, a municipal authority, was incorporated on February 24, 1989 for the purpose of undertaking and overseeing the township’s $29 million dollar sewer project. During the original 1989 sewer project, 35 miles of gravity sewer mains and laterals were installed. The Sewer Authority currently has a customer base of 2,646 (4,254 EDU’s).

The Sewer Authority Office is located in the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg.  The telephone number is (570) 421-5043 and fax number is (570) 421-5062.  Office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Effective January 1, 2011 the quarterly sewer rate is $170.00 per EDU.  The current connection fee is $5,000.00/per EDU.

The Sewer Authority is a seven (7) member volunteer board appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a five year term.

Meetings are held the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Stroud Township Municipal Center.
